Processed Fiber

We at Mulberry Alpacas have chosen and bred our alpacas with love and devotion, but also with a close eye to constantly improving the fleece on our animals backs. We strive to breed for an ideal alpaca, balanced by density and crimp (see attached photograph recently taken of the superb crimp and lustre in one of our young cria.)

We do not process the fleece on-site, since we prefer to focus on the areas where we have in-house knowledge and skill. We are members of a fibre co-operative where we know that our fleece will be welcomed and will become part of a caring, commercial organisation. We operate a small alpaca store , which operates out of our farm and also on-line and in time we will add items which have been created using the fleece from our alpaca farm.
