Sunshine and wind a combination guaranteed to dry the ground. The carney clay that makes up most of our pastures can go from sloppy clay to rock hard in a few days. I plan to start chain harrowing the pastures which we are not reseeding next week if the weather holds.
The rock collection has been going well and we now have some impressive rock piles.
While the ground is soft we used the back hoe to dig out the flood irrigation ditch for the hay meadow.
When it rains I just want to find inside jobs...but once the sun shines I can't wait to get outside...so no more surfing today....
