The entrance to a small triangular field directly in front of the house which we call Village Green. Has a badly planned entrance. The gate opens out just fine but if you try to open the gate inwards it strikes the water pipe which rises at that point to serve the alpacas water trough.
Last night Angus our 12 year old helped bring in the female alpacas and forgot to close the gate once they were out.
In the night the wind got up and blew the gate so hard into the pipe it snapped the pipe and, judging by the amount of water, had a "gusher" all night!
So one of todays jobs will be to dig out the end of the pipe and repair and relocate the riser.
I don't know who's law it is maybe Murphy's...But if something can go wrong...it probably will go wrong!
At least the sun is shining.
