This morning we had a really enjoyable visit from the Lovich family. The three small girls all made small packs of alpaca fibre for birds to use as nesting material while mum and dad looked over our fibre boys.
In the end they selected two boys with real character and pretty decent fleeces.
The boys are both castrated, microchipped and ARI registered and we will deliver them to their new home tomorrow morning.
They are only going about 4 miles down the road and I know they will be well looked after even pampered by their new owners.
We first met the family when they were building their hew home about one year ago so it has taken a while for them to get fencing and drinking water in place. But it shows how long the sales cycle can be on some of these transactions even for fibre boys.
When I deliver them tomorrow I will take some pictures for the blog.
