On Monday evening I went to my first meeting of the Southern Oregon Bee Association (SOBA). There is clearly a great deal to learn and it was really interesting to see the parallels between an alpaca meeting and a bee meeting. The usual discussions of diseases and infections and the cures that have been tried.
So as this was Macs first day back we gave the alpaca barn a really good clean out . Then we set up the bee hives in the shade of an old oak tree.
We also built a wind break out of hay bales..not quite sure how long they will last. But for now they are just the job.
This afternoon is a board meeting of SOJAA (state of Jefferson Alpaca Association) in Medford.
Tomorrow my article on Sir Titus Salt goes to print as a stand alone brochure. We will be using it as part of our marketing campaign. Its primary purpose is to raise the profile of Mulberry Alpacas.
