After the trials of yesterday the irrigation system worked well and there was time to mow another of the alpaca paddocks. In all we have 14 seperate areas that need to be watered in order to bring on the grass which I seeded last week.
After working very hard on the web site and on marketing initiatives the response has been disapointing and we spend the evening debating what the reasons might be.
We go over the results of the annual AOBA market survey and see if there are any clues in there that will help us target our own marketing campaign.
Two weeks ago I proof read a copy of Mike Safleys latest book the Alpaca Chronicles - a history of alpacas from the dawn of time till today. I haven't heard anymore from Mike so I am assuming he is just busy !!
The shearing which was set for Sunday has now been moved to Monday at the request of the shearer and as result we are now going to be short handed, plus we have to try and persuade the local newspaper to come later....ho hum the best laid plans of mice and men.
