Alan Godsiff our expert alpaca shearer was here at 8 o'clock sharp as promised. A native New Zealander he now lives in Sisters, Oregon. Alan's speciality is shearing the alpacas in a standing position, it is a great way to do this potentially stressful task and I really recommend the standing position and Alan to you and your alpacas.

Mac who helps look after the alpacas every morning was keen to help for an hour or so before he went off to his second job.




Camilla was vet technician for the day and conscientiously prepared all the alpaca shots (injections) that we had scheduled.









Everything went very well and what can so easily be a stressful day became really quite enjoyable which is just how it should be. Part two tomorrow.
