Alan Schaffer came to visit the farm today. Alan and his wife Robin are new to the business but have a very well thought through approach to the alpacas they are buying and why they are buying them. Their farm is called Excalibur and is in Carmel Indiana. Part of their collection includes Ava a beautiful Hemingway daughter which they purchased from us in July of this year.

Much more organised than we ever were so I am certain they will be successful and already they have collected quite an impressive herd with well respected bloodlines.

Everything is slightly more chaotic than usual today as Jo has decided to hold a barn dance (in the alpaca barn) for her employees. So While talking alpacas with Alan i am trying to direct various deliveries of portable toilets and space heaters. Much to the amusement of the alpacas. Well it looked like they were smiling to me...
