If you have ever worked on land or a farm that has been around for a good number of years you will know how old and often rusty pieces of the past keep surfacing. You know the sort of things nails, screws, maybe even a hammer or saw and of course if you are really lucky...some gold coins.
Well I am not talking about any of that....what I am talking about are the brand new parts that show up on the farm take these few as an example....
These are the kind of things I find lying about...obviously the first thing is to look at the part and work out which piece of equipment it has come off. Not quite as easy as you might imagine when you have almost ten separate pieces of machinery.
Even a trip to the local John Deere dealer was of no use, the guy in the parts department was no wiser than I was.
So there they remain waiting to be reunited with which ever piece of machinery gave them up in the first place.
Now I think about it we do get the odd light aircraft coming over after taking off from Ashland airport.....I wonder if they might have fallen off...who knows....
Well better go and get my act together we have a farm visit at 1.30 today and I have a meeting just before that so suddenly the schedule is looking pretty hectic....but I have to say I like it that way.
By the way if you know where any of the parts in the picture are from then let me know.....
