All quiet on the alpaca farm at the moment.

Two of our fibre boys will be leaving shortly for pastures new so then our numbers will be down to an all time low even given our new alpaca arrivals.

We did have two new arrivals today but they were of the feathered kind.



There appears to be a real ground swell of opinion in the industry to put more emphasis on the fibre side and less on the marketing of the alpaca lifestyle.....now that is going to be interesting as much of the historic effort has been to build up the industry by drawing more and more people into alpaca ownership and assuming the fibre market will develop its own momentum..... but that is an assumption too far in my opinion.
