Well it is Friday the 13th so what else should I have expected.....
Today I was all set to fix the tractor and get some straw to store our potatoes in ..
then the phone rang and a desperate lady was looking for someone to transport her very sick llama to the vet clinic...did I know anyone? I racked my brains for about ten seconds then volunteered to do it myself.
To cut a long story short within the hour I was at her farm and with the help of a strong neighbor we rolled the sick llama onto a tarp and pulled him into the trailer....30 minutes later he was in the clinic getting an IV drip and a catheter for his trouble...apparently his kidneys are in a bad way...
So that was my good deed for the day...then the jack at the front of the trailer fell off in my hands.....one hour and $50 later it was replaced.
The fleeces on eBay are about to go into their final minutes so I will report back later on those.
Meanwhile the bees are sort of sunbathing on the side of the hive rather than getting in there and making honey....
Oh yes thanks for wondering I did get the straw and I did fix the tractor....now I am going to have a cold drink, a shower and go watch the new Harry Potter movie....what could possibly go wrong !!!
