The test results for Brucellosis come back negative which is of course what we all expected...Or the place would be crawling with Federal vets by now! And the three female alpacas would not be going to New Mexico!
The weather eases slightly and we start to clear rocks from a small area of the hay field which the alpacas have been grazing. The volume of rocks is quite amazing the pretty ones with moss on we can actually sell but the rest are worthless....
Each pasture now has a small mound of rocks that is growing steadily. I imagine that one day I will move themall to some quiet corner of the farm but another part of me suspects they will still be here in a few hundred years and the source of much speculation from tye future inhabitants of Ashland! The children suggest the we should put a time capsule in each one for people to discover in years to come...well its an idea!
